I began my Stott Pilates™ education in 2002 at Northeast Pilates. I am trained in matwork, reformer, stability chair, cadillac, barrels, and many small props. I completed my internship at Embody Pilates Studio before opening a Stott Pilates™ studio at Exeter Hospital in Exeter, NH. I then opened my home studio The Pilates Journey which is housed in a beautiful yurt, in the woods, by a pond, surrounded by wildlife in Kittery, Maine.
Over the past twenty years, I have had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients including post menopausal women, pre and postnatal mothers, male and female teenagers, athletes, performing artists, farmers and more. I love to help clients deepen their physical awareness, improve their posture and overall fitness, and replace potentially harmful ways of moving with new habits and patterns. I am often in awe of the journey that each of my clients is on with their body and am honored to be a part of it.
I am also a professional actor/director/ theatre educator and came to pilates because of my fascination with human movement. I am constantly curious about how bodies and physical habits evolve. I consider Stott Pilates™ to be the perfect tool for habit exploration and postural improvement with the goal of preventing injuries before they have a chance to begin.
